ATO is devoted to making it affordable and easy for anyone to start a tax prep business. Our entry fees are in the hundreds of dollars, our contract is simple, and it does not contain a non compete. We are not concerned with experience, education, credit, or background. We are seeking individuals who desire to start a tax office, at home or in a retail location, and are willing to work hard.
Why start a tax preparation business?The tax business is one of the lowest-cost highest-return service businesses. You can operate a tax preparation service with little more than a computer, internet connection, and a telephone. Better still, is the built-in, recession-proof, demand. Everyone must file. In 2010, over 131 million people filed an income tax return and 61% of those used a paid preparer. That means the target market is at least 87 Million people! In good times or bad, tax returns will be filed and taxpayers will pay to have others prepare the returns. Money will be made in the tax preparation business. The only question is will you make any? ATO’S History After working together at competitor, we joined force to start ATO because we a clear need and opportunity to help people who can not afford an expensive franchise to start their own tax business. We observed national tax franchises require an enormous up-front investment before any money is made. We know that is unfair. We also learned through experience that other competitors require a smaller up-front investment but charge outrageous revenue sharing such as 50% of gross receipts. We know this is greedy and does not give the tax entrepreneur a meaningful chance to earn a living. |

You will never be put into voicemail or required to communicate your concern through email. At ATO, we have learned the tax preparation business is more about location and marketing than it will ever be about taxes. TRAINING
We will train you one-on-one. You will not be forced into a cattle call. One of our trainers will call you on the telephone and remotely access your computer over the internet. You will be walked through the software step-by-step and permitted to ask questions and get answers on the spot. You will be given the time and attention required for you to learn the software. Further, on our web site, we will have detailed training videos you can review at your convenience. Also, you can follow up with your trainer or a member of our staff whenever you need additional help. We remain available to you at all times. You also will be trained telephonically and through remote access on the basics of tax law. In other words, we will teach you the fundamental law that governs the “straight down the middle“ or routinely encountered tax returns. |

In order to be competitive, you must be able to deliver the customer’s tax refund quickly. Your customer's will be able to apply to get $1,500 the same day! With us, you can print checks on-site or have the customer’s refund applied to a debit card you issue them. Do not worry about bank approval.
