Products & Services

Dolly Lewis opened the first Dolly’s Pizza in 1966. The daughter of Italian immigrants and desperate to provide for her three small children, opening an authentic pizzeria seemed the natural thing to do.

Dolly used every penny she had to rent her new store, but pizza sales soon allowed her to properly take care of her children. Expansion was her furthest thought! Little did she know, her young son Robert was watching, learning and planning for the future.

Robert grew up to make a career of the pizza business. He opened more stores, began franchising, and was even awarded "Best Pizza in Michigan" by the Michigan Restaurant Association! Now, his goal is to share his knowledge, experience and expertise with other entrepreneurs seeking an exciting business opportunity.

Training & Support

Site Selection & Lease Negotiation......Dolly’s Pizza will assist you in selecting a location for your new store. We will also be available to advise you in lease negotiations and help insure the most favorable contract terms and conditions.

Tenant Buildout......Dolly’s Pizza stores are generally 1,000 - 1,500 square feet and are designed for low overhead, efficient production flow, distinct decor and customer convenience. Dolly’s Pizza will assist you on every phase of your buildout, from store layout to signage.

Prior to the opening of a Dolly's Pizza Store, a Franchisee or its designated manager will be required to enroll in and complete certain business and food service courses specified by the Dolly's Pizza System from time to time. These programs cover numerous areas that will be helpful for you to function effectively as a franchise operator. If neither the franchisee nor its designated manager completes the required training program to the satisfaction of Dolly's Pizza Franchising, Inc., Dolly's Pizza may terminate the franchise agreement. You will study the Dolly's Pizza operations manual in effect from time to time which may include information about equipment layout, inventory control, equipment maintenance, employee training and the complete range of operation techniques.

Upon satisfactory completion of your training program, you and your management staff will work with a Dolly's Pizza corporate personnel at your location to open your restaurant as smoothly and efficiently as possible. The cost for training is included in your franchise fee. However, you will be responsible for your personal expenses, transportation, lodging and meals.

Our operations specialists will be at your restaurant to help you get off to a smooth start. Our training staff will be with you from the beginning to assist you both before and after you are open for business.

Marketing Programs......Becoming a Dolly’s Pizza franchisee entitles you to access our diversified marketing programs. These programs have proved successful for many operators and include high quality, professionally designed materials.

Food and Packing Costs......By using our volume purchasing power, Dolly’s Pizza helps to keep your food costs low. Utilizing several suppliers, competitive prices are negotiated on our required products.

Franchise Meetings......Franchise meetings occur regularly and provide a direct link between franchisees and the home office. You are strongly encouraged to attend these meetings and exchange marketing and operational ideals. These discussions, along with regular attendance to trade shows and conventions, will keep you close to the industry.
