Overview

Founder, Leigh Davis, and his wife Candra experienced 10 plus years of personal in-home care as their families provided the necessary care to keep their Grandmothers at home despite serious, terminal illnesses.

This shared experience provided the motivation and experience to start ELDirect In-Home Senior Care January 1, 1996. ELDirect experienced phenomenal growth and success through the development of a wide range of unique client, caregiver and marketing services and techniques.

ELDirect
  • Generated an average annual growth rate of more than 200% after five years of operations
  • Has experienced 0 lawsuits, 0 liability insurance claims and 1 work comp claim in 12 years of operations
  • Boasts a 95%+ collections on A/R with an average collections window of 2 weeks
  • Accepts a broad range of pay sources - 7 and counting
  • Has an average client service length of 212 days

Capitalizing on ELDirect's years of success, Mr. Davis created Marjent to help others acquire these same skills and principles of private duty success. Why Eldirect In-Home Senior Care?

Private duty excellence
Marjent's business and operational methods result in excellent client satisfaction, industry exceeding client retention, thorough Q/A and screening methods as well as lucrative marketing and referral relationships.

High collections ratio and short A/R window
Our private duty operations model boasts a 95%+ collections rate on all pay sources and a typical A/R window of 2 weeks.

Save money and time
Marjent's consulting and training provides incredible cost savings over purchasing existing private duty operations or starting from scratch. Marjent helps you shorten ramp-up and flatten the learning curve. We equip you and your staff with proven, success-crafted tools.

Long-term revenues
  • The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) estimates the average length of service for Medicare patients is 69 days.
  • Private Duty Insider reports the average length of service for a private duty client is 111 days.
  • Marjent's private duty model boasts an average length of service of 212 days.

Private duty's potential
The average private duty in-home care client uses just over 20 hours of services per week with an average hourly charge of nearly $18.00. Just 25 private duty clients, at the assumed national average, equate to more than $450,000 in annualized gross revenues.

$44 billion in spending for non-Medicare home care services is up for grabs in 2007 and private payment for in-home care services is on course to surpass Medicare spending by 2010.

More pay options
Private duty opens a broad range of pay sources. Private pay, Veterans Administration, Long-Term Care Insurance and Medicaid Waiver Programs are a sampling of the pay sources that private duty affords.

Simple admissions and referrals
Private duty clients are not governed by complex Medicare compliance. In turn, new private duty clients do not require lengthy intake and admissions processes. Doctor's orders are not required to admit and serve private duty clients.

Legislation and trending
Over the past several years, a majority of states have applied for waiver programs aimed at giving seniors the option of in-home care instead of nursing home care. More and more states are lining up to funnel more dollars into private duty in-home care and away from nursing home placement.

There are no licensure requirements for private duty services in more than half of the states. Private duty is not highly regulated, documentation intensive or heavily scrutinized, creating few barriers to entry.

A growing need
For every 100-bed nursing home research shows that, on average, 50-60 residents each year will find themselves needing assistance in their own home with most (90%+) needing assistance with non-medical, private duty, ADLs.

The CDC revealed that of the 7,179,000 annual home health agency discharges, more than 70% remained in the community. Of these 5,100,000 people, most are discharged with private duty needs.

Private payment for in-home care services is on course to surpass Medicare spending by 2010.

Are You a Good Fit for Eldirect In-Home Senior Care?
