Overview
Godfather's Pizza has been serving up hot, fresh pizza since 1973. What began as a single restaurant in Omaha, Nebraska 30 years ago has grown to a chain that can be found serving great food in over 40 states. Over the years, Godfather's Pizza has mastered the art of making delicious pizza pies piled high with your favorite toppings on our thick, rich, original crust, our pan-style golden crust with a warm buttery flavor, and our light and crispy thin crust. Whatever your preference, Godfather's Pizza has a pizza pie built just for you.
Products & Services
Godfather’s Pizza has developed two programs to fit the varying requirements of the non-traditional market, including c-stores, travel centers, airports, universities, etc. While both programs provide our franchisees with excellent profit margins, they differ in the procedures they take to arrive at those margins. Both programs feature a highquality, abundantly topped pizza that has been the mainstay of Godfather’s Pizza for more than 30 years.
For the non-traditional venue, we recommend a mini for lunch and grab-n-go opportunities, and large pizzas for the dinnertime daypart or slice programs. Included in the pizza program are dessert pizzas and breakfast pizza offerings. With our pizza, weoffer a variety of side items including but not limited to chicken wings, chicken tenders, breadsticks and potato wedges. A Hot & Cold Sandwich program is also available.
Our Godfather’s Pizza locations on average hit 70 percent gross profit margins, and we have seen little, if any, cannibalization with our other branded QSR offerings.
Training & Support
Godfather’s Pizza also becomes a marketing partner to our franchisees, offering a variety of marketing materials for the opening of new locations as well as on-going efforts to help build traffic and increase sales.
- Customized menu, board, lightbox art
- Generic promotional lightbox art
- New store opening materials including: “Coming Soon” and “Now Serving” banners, clings, window posters, real estate signs, pump toppers, pizza club card, take out menus and much more
- Equipment signage, e.g. Hatco chute cards, Star Warmer wraps
- Self-contained promotional ideas, such as our “Hot & Now” promotion
GPI communicates with our franchisee community through our bi-monthly Marketing Newsnewsletter available via our secure web site. Franchisees are assigned a login and password to access this site. The site also houses a variety of resources commonly used by our franchisees.
Why Godfather's Pizza?
The Freezer-to-Oven Program is designed for operators whose space or labor is limited. It is a very easy program to execute. Pizzas are pre-assembled and flash frozen. The shelf life is six months frozen. With little or no product waste and minimal labor needed, you just thaw and bake. Space requirements for the kitchen are approximately 100 square feet or less plus approximately 100 square feet or less for storage (without the sandwich program add-on). Equipment costs are approximately $18,000 plus signage. Equipment leasing programs may be available. Initial training takes place in Omaha at our corporate training facility and lasts two to three days. GPI staff will be on hand at your location at time of store opening for additional on site training.
The Frozen Golden Crust Program is designed for the operator that has a need for a made-to-order type of pizza program. The space requirements are typically 250-300 square feet for the kitchen plus approximately 100-150 square feet for storage (without the sandwich program add-on). Equipment costs are approximately $40,000 plus signage. Again, equipment leasing programs maybe available. Initial training takes place in Omaha at our corporate training facility designed specifically for our c-store and other non-traditional franchisees, and lasts approximately six days. On site training happens at time of store opening.
