David Schwartz is the chairman and chief executive officer of Franchise Clique and FranchiseBuy.com.
Born in New Rochelle, N.Y., Schwartz earned a bachelor of sciences in communications and a minor in marketing from Southern Illinois University in 1998.
David became a successful entrepreneur before he received his bachelor's degree. In 1998, he co-founded Generation X Design, a web development, online advertising and marketing company that he later sold to a group of Major League Baseball players.
In 2001, Schwartz broadened his advertising and marketing experience when he joined the Franchise Opportunities Network, a company that introduced him to the lead generation business and the franchise industry. Seven years later, Schwartz made the second riskiest career decision of his life and left his senior sales management position with the Franchise Opportunities Network to pursue a career in print publishing.
Schwartz joined PINK Magazine, an award-winning national women's business magazine, in 2007. As the publication's Advertising Director, he put together the top three revenue-producing issues in the magazine's history, while instituting an online advertising presence. A year later, in 2008, Schwartz joined Garden & Gun magazine as the Eastern Advertising Director.
In 2009, Schwartz left the print publishing industry behind to found Franchise Clique in Mount Pleasant, S.C.
