Maui Wowi Hawaiian Goes to the Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix

Maui Wowi Hawaiian announces it will be a vendor at the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, being held in Austin, Texas, November 16-18, 2012. Franchise Owner, DuAnne Redus will be operating four units at the event serving all-natural, fresh fruit smoothies, and frozen adult beverages to attendees.

“This is like the Kentucky Derby of motor racing. It is an elite race that we are excited to be a part of,” said Redus. “We can’t wait to experience this one of a kind event and are ready to start blending the best smoothies around.”

Redus, who owns and operates a fixed retail store in Wimberley, Texas, will have two concession trailers and two mobile event units called Ka’anapali Carts located in high volume areas. Fresh, made to order smoothies will be served at each location. Redus worked with other Maui Wowi franchisees to bring the company’s island flavor to Formula 1.

“Through the collaboration of Maui Wowi Franchisees, we have this amazing opportunity,” she said. “You never know what will happen when you put your mind to something. You can end up in places you never thought possible.”

Formula 1 United States Grand Prix is held at the new Circuit Of The Americas, a world class, multi-purpose racing facility. The venue boasts a 3.4 mile track, 120,000 fan capacity, and state-of the art amenities; within approximately two miles from the Austin Bergstrom International Airport.

The three day event will feature racecar drivers from around the world, including actor Patrick Dempsey, best known for his role on the T.V. show Grey’s Anatomy. Spectators will also enjoy a free live concert series from a variety of local and national performers. The 2012 Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix kicks off at 9 a.m. on November 16 and will finish with the 56 lap Grand Prix race on November 18.
