A world with less cancer is a world with more birthdays. “If you have every lost a loved one to cancer or know someone that has I’m sure you have imagined a world with more birthdays.” With The American Cancer Society Relay For Life, you can celebrate those survivors– and honor the memory of friends and loved ones. Since 1985, Relay For Life has grown from one man – Dr. Gordy Klatt, who walked, jogged and ran around a track for 24 hours raising money for his local American Cancer Society unit – to a movement to eliminate cancer that now takes place in more than 5,100 communities in the United States and in 20 other countries around the world. Nearly 4 million people participate in the life-changing event, which has raised a total of more than $4 billion to fund the American Cancer Society’s mission.

Without the support and donations of so many thousands and so many millions of people I might not be able to give my mother in law a big hug here today! What we are really trying to do for Rose and anyone else that has ever felt the effects of cancer, is show our support, my entire corporation, nationwide, all my friends, and our entire family have really come together to give cancer a run for its money while we walk through the night.
