G.I. Jobs Magazine Names TeamLogic IT to Its Prestigious 2012 List of Military Friendly Franchises; The National Computer Services Franchise Ranks in the Top 10 Percent of All Franchises Nationwide

The magazine’s prestigious Military Friendly Franchises® list identifies franchises that demonstrate the best military recruiting practices in the nation. This honor ranks TeamLogic IT in the top 10 percent of all franchises nationwide.

Recognizing the high unemployment rate among veterans and challenges they face in returning to civilian life, TeamLogic IT launched its veterans program in January 2012. The program waives the $40,000 franchise fee for up to 10 qualified U.S. military veterans throughout 2012.
With a focus on “veterans hiring veterans,” the program includes a partnership with CompTIA—a non-profit trade association advancing the global interests of information technology (IT) professionals and companies—and its Creating IT Futures Foundation to leverage its IT-Ready Apprentice Program, which will help these new franchisees hire trained technicians who are also military veterans. Additionally, the program will financially support franchisees by subsidizing all costs associated with technician recruitment, training, certification, and online mentoring.
“The Military Friendly Franchises list was created three years ago out of demand from military veterans, many of whom want to start or own their own business but are unclear where to begin,” G.I. Jobs director Sean Collins said. “Being selected as a Military Friendly Franchise places TeamLogic IT in this elite group, and is a testimony to its world class programs and policies that support military veterans interested in franchise opportunities.”
The Military Friendly Franchises list is determined through extensive research by the G.I. Jobs Military Friendly Franchises team, which included a comprehensive survey of more than 4,000 franchises. The survey questioned the following key areas in each franchise system: the number and percent of veteran-owned franchises, programs and policies in place that measure a franchise’s non-financial efforts to recruit and retain military veterans, and a franchise’s financial efforts to recruit and retain military veterans.
