LATEST ANCHOR BAR FRANCHISE OPENS IN AMHERST
BUFFALO, N.Y., August 30, 2016 —Anchor Bar, The Home of “The Original Buffalo Chicken Wing,” held a grand opening celebration today for its seventh franchise location located at 4300 Maple Road in Amherst, NY. Business partners Ming Tran, Tom Tran, and Jim Kaczmarek celebrated the occasion with Anchor Bar Franchise and Development Vice President Mark Dempsey, New York State Assemblyman Raymond Walter, New York State Senator Michael Ranzenhofer’s Senior Field Representative John McNulty, Deputy Town Supervisor Steven Sanders, and Town Councilwoman Deborah Bruch Bucki.
“Opening the doors and welcoming our first patrons was a really special moment for us all,” said Jim Kaczmarek, one of the franchise owners. “I’m a born-and-bread Buffalonian so the opportunity to continue building my business while serving up iconic Buffalo flavors right here in my home town is something I couldn’t pass up.”
At more than 7,000 square-feet, the new Anchor Bar location is the largest to-date franchise restaurant includes a large outdoor patio as well as a private banquet room, another first for the Anchor Bar franchise company. The large location boasts a rich color-scheme with high ceilings, flat-screens throughout, and walls full of memories and memorabilia that recreate the original restaurant’s famous flair. Most notably at this location is the creation of two distinct atmospheres under one roof – with family dining on one side and a sports bar on the other.

The Anchor Bar Franchise & Development Company opened its first franchise location in 2009 at the Buffalo Airport. Today, the company has seven locations including two stores in Ontario, Canada; at Darien Lake Theme Park, the Buffalo Airport and in Williamsville, Amherst and Main street.
The new location in Amherst, N.Y serves all of Anchor Bar’s classic fare including its world famous chicken wings. The new location seats up to 250 people and employs 90 full and part-time staff.
