Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (January 10, 2017) British Swim School, the pioneer of gentle, non-traditional infant water safety programs, is splashing into 2017 exceeding $8.7 millionin system-wide sales.

Throughout 2016, British Swim School sold 27territories, bringing the brand’s presence to 71 territories in 15 states. Completing the year with 27agreements signed, the franchise projects a minimum of eight pools opening in the New Year and anticipates an additional 8 franchise territories to be sold in the first quarter of 2017. Quickly cementing itself as the leader in the water safety segment, British Swim School led 9,000 lessons per week and conducted more than 475,000 swim lessons throughout 2016, a 100,000 increase from 2016.

Centered on a two-step curriculum teaching children and adults of all ages’ water safety and survival skills first and swimming skill development second, the British Swim School franchise concept operates a unique water safety program with teaching methods that serve as a trademark for the brand. The company offers lessons out of multiple national fitness chains and hotel pools year round and, based on the premise that children progress at different rates, and does not run on “set courses”. Each child, regardless of age, is placed in their correct skill level and will have certain achievable objectives. The child will be graduated from that level and moved onto the next without a waiting period, as found in a course driven program.
