PostNet Launches Fourth Annual Fundraising Effort to Support Military Families
July 6, 2011 - Denver, CO (July 6, 2011) – Recognizing the special contributions and sacrifices our troops and their families make, PostNet is proud to announce their fourth-annual fundraising drive for the Fisher House Foundation to help wounded service members and their families.
The fundraising drive will run from July 1 – July 31 at participating PostNet Neighborhood Business Centers across the U.S. Customers can donate by:
1. Visiting their PostNet Neighborhood Business Center and donating at the store counter.
2. Donating online at www.active.com/donate/TeamFisherHouse/PostNet.
Certain PostNet locations will offer special discounts throughout July, including 50 percent off packing/supplies on shipment to troops, and 10 percent off for customers with a military I.D.
“We are proud to continue our fundraising efforts for Fisher House and grateful to be able to support those who serve our country and their families,” said Steve Greenbaum, co-founder and CEO of PostNet. “Many of our customers, employees and franchise owners have a loved one who served in the military, or are military veterans themselves, so the cause is very near and dear to us.”
PostNet’s national support for Fisher House began in 2008. The company was introduced to the cause by Lynne Killion, a PostNet store owner in Dearborn, Mich. Her son was injured by an IED during a tour in Iraq, and Lynne’s husband stayed at a Fisher House at Fort Hood while he was hospitalized. Fisher House builds “comfort homes” on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers. Because members of the military must often travel great distances for specialized medical care, these homes enable family members to stay close to loved ones free of charge during these difficult times.
