Screenmobile Looks to Capitalize on Growing Demand for Window and Door Screen Repair, Add Nearly 30 Franchises by 2016
THOUSAND PALMS, CA – Screenmobile, one of the nation's largest screen repair companies with nearly 100 franchises nationwide, is looking to capitalize on the growing demand for residential fenestration, as window and door, porch, patio screen repair and replacement activity gets back on the road to recovery.
According to the Window and Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA), the residential window market showed growth of 10% for 2013, with a total estimate of 44.5 million units shipped. Growth is expected to continue at a slightly slower pace for 2014 and 2015, forecasting 9.1% and 8.3% respectively. In addition, residential entry door showed modest growth of 5.3% for 2013, with 14.1 million units shipped. Growth in residential entry door shipments is similarly expected to continue at a slightly slower pace for 2014 and 2015, forecasting 5.1% and 4.8% respectively.
“With steady improvement predicted in the new construction and remodeling/replacement markets, we have every reason to look to the future with great enthusiasm,” said Screenmobile CEO Scott Walker, who co-founded the business with his father and brother in. “Whether consumers are installing new windows and doors that will eventually require new screens or simply looking to replace or repair their existing ones, we want to continue providing the best possible screen repair services – no matter how big or small the job – and look forward to expanding our national footprint in the coming years.'
With 88 locations open and operating in 25 states, company plans call for adding five new locations by the end of 2014 and as many as 24 in 2015.
Typically screen repair is a cumbersome two-step process. Removing old screens and then taking them down to a local glass shop or hardware store. If the frame or screen is missing, homeowners can be left unsure of measurements and struggling to figure out installation. Over the past 34 years, however, Screenmobile has solved such issues by measuring, manufacturing and installing new screens – including window, door, porch and patio screens, retractable screens and much more – on site and in one trip.
Costs are the same and even typically cheaper than taking your screens in. In addition, Screenmobile provides stronger frames and fabric than what is normally found at local hardware stores.
“Screenmobile exists in the acquisition and retention of very satisfied and loyal customers, who return frequently to our products and services and recommend us to their family and friends,”
To augment the company’s growth, Screenmobile is seeking individuals looking for a home-based franchise business that offers the benefits of a time-proven system, professional training and support, and a low initial investment to put them on the track towards business success. With a franchise fee of $35,500, the total investment to own and operate a Screenmobile franchise is approximately $70,000-$100,000.
Franchisees are granted exclusive territories that are created geographically by zip codes. The size of each territory will depend on the number of zip codes lumped together to achieve the approximately 100,000 household count.
Founded in 1980, Screenmobile has established itself as one of the nation’s largest mobile screen repair companies. The mobile franchise business specializes in the repair, replacement and installation of window, door, porch and patio screens, retractable screens and much more.
