California Fresh began as an idea by three friends who were tired of the Corporate Grind. While at lunch with their wives back in 2003, the guys wanted sandwiches while the gals craved smoothies. When they couldn't find a place that served both, an idea was born! So the three friends created a deli that specializes in sandwiches and salads made with fresh meats, cheeses and produce, while serving the best smoothies this side of the Pacific Ocean! Add in a dash of California ambiance and a commitment to great customer service, and the rest is history. In 2009, California Fresh began expanding from its flagship Santa Maria store and franchising its concept.

Training
One of the most vital functions we perform for our franchise owners is to provide an exceptional training program. The California Fresh training program is a two week program held in an active operating location. The training center is furnished with up-to-date equipment, and is staffed with professional teaching personnel, most of whom have been with California Fresh since its beginning years.
The two week training course will provide you with not only the technical knowledge of our business, but also with business knowledge, such as bookkeeping, computerized and manual pricing, as well as management techniques needed to efficiently operate your California Fresh business.
We are aware that the majority of California Fresh owners come to us from backgrounds not associated with quick server restaurants. As such, your training does not end after your two weeks at our training facility. We can provide "on-site" continued training for you, and assist you in interviewing, testing, hiring, and training your personnel to help you get your business started and operational.
The training program will provide you with a thorough understanding, in concept and in fact, of the proven methods of operating a California Fresh quick serve restaurant. With your full participation in training, you will develop a comfortable knowledge of how to operate your franchise.
Support
The strength of California Fresh rests in the quality of individuals operating as California Fresh franchise owners. As such, in order to maintain the continued growth and development of California Fresh, we provide on-going support through our California Fresh support offices. You will be in business "for yourself but not by yourself." We have a sincere commitment to our owners to provide continued assistance to help you maximize your business. You will find our support personnel maintain a high level of communication and offer continuous service to our franchise owners. California Fresh also regularly holds regional meetings to further educate our owners on new trends in the industry.
The site selection process is one of the most tedious and time consuming aspects of putting you into business. California Fresh will grow, due in part to our desire for our franchisees to have excellent locations with strategic placement in your community. When you suggest an area where you would like your California Fresh, our staff investigates it and evaluates its potential. Our analysis is based on the area's population, the surrounding business areas, the location of existing and potential business parks, and other factors necessary to making a competent location determination. We will not put a California Fresh in any location if we believe the area will not live up to our expectations. Once a suitable location has been secured, the California Fresh staff will thoughtfully and tastefully design your store to take advantage of every available square foot of space. Our experts design your shop based upon its floor plan. Your shop is laid out to maintain an efficient flow of work, with the minimum amount of walking. Your center will be designed for customer comfort, with displays arranged for easy viewing to show customers your full service capabilities. |
