Our Business Model
Store: The location of a Presents of Mine franchise is very important to the success of the business. Our business model is based on our stores being on the main shopping thoroughfare of tourist/vacation destinations where shoppers come for the day, the weekend, or the week.
Sales: The average item in the store sells for $30-$35. Every store will have a unique range of products, so based on what your customers buy, your average could be higher or lower. Each franchise sets their own prices. The sales of our initial store can be found in our FDD in item 19 as well as some other key indicators.
Key Differentiator: With our stores being located at locations with active shoppers, product turnaround is a key component of our model. POM’s process and model relies on our typical turnaround time being 1-2 hours and therefore shoppers enjoy more of an ‘impulse’ purchase and the shopper can continue to shop, eat, or run errands while their personalized items are being made. Most personalized stores takes 2-3 weeks for turnaround of similar products.
Staffing: Typically there needs to be a 1:1 ratio of employees who work in the front end of the store working with customers and taking orders and the number of people who work in the back of the store making the products. The store is staffed with either the owner or a store manager (for semi-absentee ownership models or multiple store franchisees) and a pool of part time associates.
Fun and Simple Business Model: Working with customers designing and making personalized gifts is a very fun and rewarding business. Customers love their products and as a result there is a lot of repeat business and a very loyal customer following.
Franchise Opportunities in Embroidery & Personalization
Franchisee Friendly Model: Our franchise opportunities start with a low franchise fee of only $35,000 and a low royalty of 4.5% plus a low national advertising fee of .5%, this model is designed to help franchises get to profitability faster and is very attractive for franchisees who want to open multiple stores.
Total Investment is roughly $194,000 to $266,000 (See Details in Item 7 of the FDD).

Our initial training program is held at our franchisor location in beautiful Blue Ridge, GA. The initial training is broken out to five, one-week modules and takes place after your franchise agreement is in place and you have secured a location for your store.
Ongoing Training and Support
Grand Opening Assistance: For the week of opening, the franchisor will send two people, at the franchisor’s expense, to assist and transition the new franchise owner to the business.
Additional Training: As new technologies and techniques are developed, periodic training programs will be offered to keep franchisees up to date with the latest fashions, trends and ideas.
Phone/email support: In addition to the training programs, our support continues as questions develop. Through phone calls, emails, messaging, and other methods, you are not alone. Although you are in business for yourself, you are certainly not by yourself.
Conference Calls and Communications: One of the biggest benefits from being in a franchise system is that each franchise and the franchisor have shared goals to grow our businesses. Part of shared goals are shared ideas. Through conference calls and other communications, the franchisees will have opportunities to learn from each other’s successes.
Annual Conferences: Once a year, we will hold an annual conference where the franchise owner will meet face to face to further build relationships, teams, and ideas. There will be no additional fees to attend these conferences, however the franchisee is responsible for all travel expenses.
Technology (POS, Website, Social Media)
During initial training, you will learn about our turnkey business approach. We will cover technology topics including setting up your franchise’s Point of Sale, modifying products on your site, adding products, inventory, shipping, reporting, and more.
As technology changes, so will our systems. We use a product for our website and POS that is used by thousands of businesses across the world. They are constantly updating features to make the system more efficient and effective.
Although we will continue to provide content for our social media campaigns, franchisees are encouraged to build their own customer bases and social media programs.
Our .5% National Advertising Fee will be used 100% for building and growing our business and is not integrated with or utilized for any other franchisor funds or expenses to sell franchises. This fund goes exclusively towards enhancing our website and our social media programs.
